I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
